The Real Club Deportivo Espanyol de Barcelona is one of the oldest football clubs in the Spanish League (‘La Liga’), founded by Catalan university students.

Although nowadays RCD Espanyol de Barcelona is kitted out in blue and white, the club’s original colour was yellow, for the simple reason that that was the colour of the piece of cloth that one of its earliest partners donated to the Club to make their kits with. Subsequently, they went on to wear white vests and blue shorts. In 1909, they switched to the current blue and white outfit, the same colours proudly worn by Admiral Roger de Lluria on his coat of arms.

The club has a second team, Espanyol B, as well as twelve youth football teams, women's football and a school of football.

Its distinctions include four Spanish cup titles - 1929, 1940, 2000 and 2006 - as well as being runner-up in the UEFA Cup on two occasions.

It is also worth noting that the RCD Espanyol Stadium in Cornellá-El Prat is one of the most modern football stadiums in Spain, with a capacity for 40,000 spectators and catalogued by UEFA as a 4-star venue.

Kelme makes its mark on the city of Barcelona thanks to the presence of its claw at such a historical club over the next four seasons. Both entities will work together to further expand the image of the club in Asian markets.
