History

The “Centre D’Esports Sabadell” is historically the third club in the Catalonian Region, and one of the oldest ones. The club was founded in 1903 by Juan Grau, after two years in which the soccer popularity had grown in the city since the brothers Joan and Joaquim Saus introduced it after passing through the French city of Lille. The greatest successes in the history of the Club are: the Spanish Cup Sub-championship (1935); the 4th place at the 1st Division (1969) that permitted the club to play “The Uefa Cup” (the current UEFA Europe League); the Second Division Championship (1913); the “Cup of Cataluña” Championship (1934) and the “Federations Cup” Championship.
